“Do NOT recommend, old villa, poorly maintained, not very clean”
The Aseel resort’s location is close to downtown, making it a convenient weekend getaway. However, the villa’s layout is poorly designed; the grounds are spacious but inefficient. Two separate buildings house the living room, dining room, bathroom, and kitchen in one, and a bedroom and living room in the other. The living rooms lack blackout curtains, so they can’t serve as bedrooms. The fixtures feel cheap and poorly maintained: the refrigerator is yellowish and doesn’t cool well; the kitchen cabinets are worn and of low quality, and there are no pots or pans to cook. The restroom fixtures—toilet, faucet, shower—are badly maintained; the shower leaks or gushes water and isn’t comfortable. The villa is not wheelchair accessible. We asked for an extra bed and a baby crib, which were accepted but never delivered. The outdoor grass area is poorly maintained and untrimmed, so a young child could trip, and it’s infested with cockroaches.
