The place was spotless, the host was polite and courteous, and the grounds were well maintained; honestly, it was the best spot I’ve stayed at for that price. The only downside was that the beach was a 5‑minute walk away, so it would have been nicer to have a bike to get to the beach.

The host was incredibly friendly, greeting us with lemonade and giving a tour of the house, and letting us use the fully equipped kitchen and washing machine; the room was large, spotless, and the AC worked flawlessly—highly recommendable!

The rooms were cozy, clean, and the staff very friendly; breakfast was plentiful and freshly made—definitely recommend.

The villa has two apartments; since we were alone, we enjoyed the private garden and terrace by ourselves, the owner was very kind and arranged a trip to Koggala Lake, but honestly watching birds and monkeys in the garden in the morning was even more interesting than the lake excursion; the housekeeper cooked a wonderful dinner for us, and we swam at Wijala Beach where there were almost no waves but plenty of turtles; the train is nearby but it didn’t disturb us.

The location and the house are good, but the prices are slightly above average, especially for meals and tuktuk transport.
