The location was fine, but the TV didn’t work, the sofa had hair stains, the window net curtains were ripped, the air‑con sounded like a freight train, breakfast was poor, the water was lukewarm, the tea was warm, the selection was limited for the room rate, and there was nowhere to sit and eat.

The location and continental breakfast were good, but the room was much smaller than my previous one and it was too expensive.

“It was very good”

The location was great, rooms were lovely, and breakfast was good, but when we returned around 10 pm we found a puddle of water near the fridge because the freezer hadn’t been defrosted before check‑in and the ice had melted; we told the front desk, but maintenance wasn’t available, so we simply moved the freezer control higher. It should be defrosted or set to the proper temperature before every guest checks in.

“Great location, but breakfast is disappointment.”

The location and staff were wonderful, and Avalon itself was great! However, the breakfast area was poorly arranged—there were no tables, so you had to eat on your lap, which is awkward with cereal and impossible with kids; the space opens to the outdoors, so it’s not warm or cozy. On one of our two days, the maid hadn’t arrived even by 1:30 pm.
