“Spacious and charming house in a great location, with a lovely garden and free bikes, but better maintenance and communi”

The house is very spacious with three bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, and a beautiful private garden; its central location in Furnas makes walking to restaurants, hot springs, and local attractions easy, and we appreciated the free bicycles, which were in good condition and a great way to explore the area. However, the house feels quite old and would benefit from better maintenance; there’s a noticeable musty smell, the sofa is very small and uncomfortable, and some furnishings look worn. Bedrooms facing the street can be noisy because of traffic and early‑morning garbage collection, and communication could improve – we found a cleaner still finishing up around check‑in time, a gardener entering the property without prior notice, and the host’s responses were slow.

I stayed at a spacious, cozy house with a lovely garden and four nice bikes available; it’s well‑located and the owners were helpful and friendly. The house felt a bit damp, but that’s probably more of a Furnas thing than a fault of the property.

The place is gorgeous, almost like my mom’s home in terms of decor, which made it very pleasant for us. We adored the bedding—beds were super comfy with fine sheets and a perfect duvet for a cozy night. Heating was a nice touch; it was a bit humid, so turning it off before bed helped. I also appreciated the candlelight in the corridor at night, which we really enjoyed. The garden is stunning, and the nighttime lighting is tasteful, making evenings in the backyard relaxing. Bringing our dog was a bonus, and we’re grateful the hosts allowed it. The only hiccup was that the blue bathroom lacked hot water; we could have called for a fix, but since it was just the two of us, we managed with the other shower. It seemed like a minor issue that didn’t bother us at all.

“Historisch huis met grote tuin in hartje Furnas”

The charming decor, nice garden, and central location in Furnas were highlights. It was warm in the bedrooms in August, and ventilating at night was tough with the street‑side windows. A fan would have helped.

The house is incredibly beautiful with a magnificent garden, spacious and perfect for a family. The hosts were very attentive, offering some fruit. A supermarket is nearby. The street is noisy (road, garbage truck, birds). It’s quite pricey compared to the rates listed in the house’s brochure.
