Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown by IHG

The Holiday Day Inn Express turned out to be probably the worst one I've stayed at; they messed up my reservation but the staff handled it well. I booked it near nothing of interest in Denver, which was my fault, and the hotel looked worn and dirty.

The room was nice, the hotel was well‑located, breakfast was good and varied, the lobby was open 24/7 with coffee, hot water, cups, a water fountain, a big space to work or eat, and a great hair dryer. The bed was far too soft, the bathroom cramped with a toilet that barely opens, no coffee or tea machine in the room even though the booking said there was, it was noisy (buzzing), the room was cold and I couldn't adjust or turn off the AC, there were no shelves for clothes, and the water pressure was low with hot water fluctuating, making washing hair inconvenient.

“Park at the garage a Block away”

The hotel is within walking distance to Ball, and the shower had hot water. It feels outdated, the AC doesn’t work well, no one is at the desk to help if something happens in the middle of the night, and parking is overpriced.

“Con qualche attenzione in più magari...”

The breakfast was varied and plentiful, and the location was great for seeing the city’s highlights. The building feels old; the triple room was too small for three people, the sofa bed was closed and without sheets, and the bathroom lacked towels for the third guest.

“Nice stay w/ a few minor cosmetic issues. Enjoyed downtown and free transportation”

The room was decent but a bit worn and dusted out of habit; the air stayed warm even at 68°F, and I thought asking staff to lower it was overkill. The bathrooms were tiny and barely fit one person. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and polite.
