It is the best value‑for‑money stay I’ve ever had in my extensive travel experience; the host was kind and helpful, arranging everything without hesitation, and the German Shepherd Dora was very pet‑friendly and we enjoyed playing with it; the whole family was humble and courteous, so I definitely recommend it for a safe, peaceful, comfortable and lovely stay.

The place is quiet, spotless and exactly what we needed as a base; the owners live downstairs, so help was always close by without ever feeling intrusive, and they were warm and genuinely helpful with directions and timings; it’s easy to run to Sigiriya, the cave temple and the Minneriya safari from here; nothing worth complaining about, though the rooms are on the cosy side, but we were out most of the day anyway.
