The décor feels a bit faded and old‑fashioned, yet it was cozy and the kids enjoyed it; the pool was empty when we swam in the morning, though it’s not very Instagram‑friendly, which isn’t a big deal. We didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. The chef was ill, and the lift is slow and antiquated, making accessibility tough—our buggy was a challenge and wheelchair users would struggle on upper floors.

We were assigned a terrible room with no air and windows that were locked shut; the hotel itself looks shabby after years of being a favorite of ours. The reception staff were rude when I returned the keys—no goodbye, no thanks, just busy chatting with someone else. The bar is now in poor condition and overcrowded, with many people smoking even on the balcony. We’re not coming back.

One of the rooms in the main part of the hotel was fine and I slept comfortably. The other room, located elsewhere in the hotel, had overflowing bins and rubbish bags in the foyer for two days, mold, buckets, and wet tea towels on multiple landings, which caused my asthmatic friend a lot of discomfort from spores; I have photos.

Breakfast was amazing, the room offered a sea view, the staff were very friendly, and the spa was great for relaxing; the hotel feels dated but offers good value for money.

The pools were fine. The room was terrible—dirty ground, stained carpet that made walking barefoot impossible, a broken sofa with scratchy material that forced me to sit on a towel, bathroom light switches too high for children, and threadbare bedding with holes in the duvet cover.
