The room and breakfast were good, but the dinner dishes were always cold.

The room was clean and comfortable, though there were a few minor issues. The food was truly awful; they should raise their standards to match Italian expectations, not just in dish names but also in cooking and presentation.

The breakfast offered a wide selection, the family room was large and spacious with a balcony, the location was quiet, and parking at the hotel’s own lot was really nice. The beach was close, and the indoor pool was included in the price – it was very pleasant to relax there in the evenings.

The accommodation sat right in the centre, close to bars, restaurants and shops, and the beach was only a few hundred metres away with sun loungers available. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and we especially appreciated the Hungarian‑origin chef. One of the female receptionists had learned a few Hungarian words to greet Hungarian guests, which we really liked. We rarely find a gym as well equipped as this one, even though we usually look for hotels with a fitness room. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the balcony offered a sea view. However, using the sauna and bathrobes cost an extra €15 for the sauna and €6 for a bathrobe. In early October nothing was open on the beach – not the bar or even the toilets – so we couldn’t properly enjoy it. We think the hotel should have informed us of this when we booked. The spa water was too cool for a long stay unless you were in the jacuzzi, which was usually full because it was small and there were too many guests for its capacity.
