The location is ideal near the Pontresina Post bus stop (all buses depart from there and provide access to all major spots) and the small train station on the Bernina Express line. Residents get free transport. The room was well furnished and bright. The dining room was pleasant. The welcome was warm both at the hotel and in the restaurant, and every question received an answer. The hotel boasts the best bakery‑pastry shop in Pontrésina, with excellent quality and variety of breakfast bread. The breakfast could have a bit more variety, like crudités (tomatoes, cucumber, …). The tea water was too hot (100 °C instead of the recommended 85 °C maximum) for tea lovers, which is a pity given the great selection of teas. The restaurant is good but pricey if you’re not on half‑board.
