The location was great, tucked into a quiet side street of the iconic Orchard Street commercial area. It’s centrally positioned so you can reach all the key spots via Grab (a kind of Uber). Real‑time communication with the owner over WhatsApp was fine, but keep in mind there’s no front desk at check‑in. The kitchen is shared, which wasn’t a problem since we knew that beforehand. We got the impression the kitchen wasn’t managed by the owner. Plates and cutlery were scattered in the dish rack for an unknown length of time. In the spacious and otherwise clean fridge we found bottles with leftover “fresh” milk that was six months old. We only used the fridge to store our own purchases, but the manager may occasionally tidy it up.
