Great spot right across the street from a tram stop, with street parking a corner away and a nearby car park. The host was lovely; if you’re after the Ritz, this isn’t it, but it’s a classic, comfy, beachfront base for exploring Blackpool. The roof spaces outside the windows could use a little tidying – a simple fix!

The location was perfect for our family, close to the Sandcastle and Pleasure Beach as we have two young kids. The hotel itself was very run down. Our room, which had a double bed and two single beds, felt cramped and the online room measurements were clearly a typo. The shower head and pole detached from the wall during the night, waking us all up. The towels were old and didn’t feel clean. £80+ per night is cheap, but we really expected more.

The location is excellent and it’s a nice bonus to be able to get our subscriptions on the TV, but the stairs to the top floor are a killer and the decor is a bit outdated, though it didn’t affect our stay.

The location was very good, but we stayed 2 nights with 2 adults and 3 children, the towels weren’t changed, we used the same ones, there was no soap or shampoo for the shower basin, the soap finished, and tea and coffee weren’t topped up.
