Having stayed here before under a different manager, I appreciated the location again, but the mattress felt uncomfortable and the sheets had a slight scratchy texture. The kitchen and bathroom supplies were decent and the price was fair.

The spot is perfect for exploring, but the staff are all handled via email, which was a bit inconvenient. I didn’t mind the coffee they supplied; it was just a small annoyance.

The place sits right in the city centre with restaurants and nightlife within walking distance, and my kids loved watching people from the large windows of the “library” apartment. It’s next to a chocolate factory, but the toilet door lock doesn’t work and parking isn’t allowed on Eva Street, so you must use a nearby parking building – typical for Wellington CBD. Other than that, it’s a great spot.
