“Mysiga stuga med det man behöver.”

I stayed for just one night in this charming house, and it was so pleasant that I could have stayed the whole week.

Everything was great – multiple bedrooms, a spacious living area, and more. The grandchildren asked if we could extend our stay in the cabin for a few extra days, but we had no complaints at all.

“Mooi huis, maar meer voor de winter.”

The house was beautiful and complete, with a large kitchen, roomy living room, and good bedrooms, more suited for winter than summer. The sauna was spacious, though a user guide would have been helpful. Every morning, reindeer visited the cottage, and the view was of the lower‑lying houses; the lake was barely visible. Keys were accessed via a lockbox. It was nice to have a washing machine and enough space for the drying rack. Two good showers and two toilets (which is probably handy when you have a lot of people). Communication was very poor. There was little explanation about things in the cottage: the sauna, the oven, the TV, and how to separate waste. The curtains in the downstairs bedroom were not blackout, and since it never got dark enough, that was not pleasant. When the power went out in the evening, we didn’t know whom to call; there was no emergency number posted, and the number was unreachable. We suddenly had to pay cleaning fees, which we accepted, but we had to communicate with the cleaners ourselves. The house said you could check out until 11 am, but the cleaners said 9 am. After arranging all that, we received a list on the day of departure of what we had to clean. We’re on vacation; just make sure that’s included in the price and handled. The AC hangs in the hallway, which is useless in such a large house. Also, the bedroom doors must stay open if you want to feel something.

The house was very nice and cozy, well equipped, with an amazing terrace, fireplace, and sauna.
