Our stay at Dar Choukri was wonderful, especially the breakfast and the lady who served it each morning. She was a real delight, always kind, attentive, and smiling. People like her make a stay even more special. We left with a precious memory of her hospitality. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome!

The room was superb, the cleaning was great and we loved how we were attended to by the lovely Rachida – we’d definitely come back. What I didn’t like was the heavy traffic on the streets; it was noisy and they should replace the windows to reduce the noise.

Rachida greeted us at 9 am to drop off our luggage. She doesn’t speak French, so there was little conversation, but her kindness shows in her gestures and smile. The riad’s name isn’t on the door; you have to find the green door (see photo). We accessed the room at 1 pm. It was spacious and clean. The terrace offers a view of the Koutoubia. Note that the steps are steep for those who have trouble climbing, but that wasn’t an issue for us. The riad was quiet at night. We didn’t try the breakfast because we left at 7 am, but Rachida had prepared a take‑away breakfast (yogurt, madeleine, EU and orange juice). I also thank the young man who spoke French for his good advice. I’ll definitely return to this charming, well‑located riad, just 3 minutes from Jemaa el‑Fnaa.
