“Estancia en un paraiso”

The spot on Castanesa was amazing, tucked between mountains and a typical little town, flanked by two big parks (one already in Catalonia) and close to larger villages and routes to explore. Rubén and his parents were fantastic hosts, offering route tips and local spots, super friendly, and the food was great, using regional products and reasonably priced. The surroundings of the hotel were also fantastic, making for a very pleasant stay. The only downside was the room; it was comfortable, spacious, and fine, but it would have been a 10 if it had views of the huge ravine overlooking the village.

The staff are kind, the atmosphere feels family‑like, the homemade food is fantastic, and the natural setting is wonderful. The only thing I didn’t like were the pillows – they were too hard; I’d have preferred softer ones, but it’s a minor detail.

“Man lernt viel über Spanien.”

The landscape is stunning, with magnificent views. The charming house has a garden and is often visited by villagers, giving it a strong local flavor.

“Tranquilidad en plena naturaleza”

The location is lovely and very quiet, with a well‑maintained garden that’s great for enjoying the fresh air, and the restaurant is also very good. The rooms are simple but comfortable. However, we were given a room with no view, even though the hotel was almost empty; opening the window revealed a road. I would have expected a large window or a terrace to enjoy nature instead.

The train service and food were excellent. The only downside is that there’s no elevator to reach the rooms and no air conditioning in them.
