I liked that it’s surrounded by nature and the staff is absolutely friendly. The food repeats a lot, which doesn’t match the price; all breakfasts are the same and lack variety. Lunches are vegetarian and quite similar, and dinners only offer the same fish each night with one side dish. Main dishes and desserts could be much more gourmet or at least offer two options. Snacks leave a lot to be desired.

The location is absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and relaxing. The small resort size fostered friendly chats among the international guests. The staff was great and attentive to every need.

The atmosphere and natural beauty were appealing. I should have done more research before coming and taken precautions for the flies; they were so many that my first night and the next days were a hassle. The friendships we made and the soothing beauty of nature kept me focused on the positives. Even though they didn’t upset us, the meals could have been better for the price—breakfast offered only one type of egg with whatever was available. In such a special place, a hotel with known capacity should have offered personalized service. Outside of opening hours, all menus were presented in advance, and if personalized service were possible, the value would have been better. Still, everything we ate was delicious.
