Casa Mata da Ribeira

“Increíble para unas vacaciones familiares”

The lodging was amazing, spotless and welcoming, everything organized and fully equipped. My family loved it, and the room layout made it easier for my relatives with kids. A mishap with the water occurred, but the host handled it by ensuring a daily supply, which we appreciated and valued.

The house is beautiful, though there are a few issues to fix (water that doesn’t stop in a toilet, few power outlets). Still, it’s spacious, charming, and our vacation was truly great. The pool is huge (about 15 m by 7 m, water height ~1.3 m). The view of the estate and countryside is stunning. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything (gas hob, oven, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, freezer) and there’s an outdoor washing machine. Mr Pedro is very kind and answered all our questions. I recommend it!

“It is definitly place for 8 people, not perfectly clean, with superb sourrundings”

The pool is large, the view is perfect, and the neighborhood is quiet. The beds are worn out and too small for two people; the room with a bunk bed was cramped, dark, and shabby, and it shouldn’t be treated as a separate room. There were several minor defects in the bathrooms.

The pool, billiard area, the house overall (garden, terrace), and the living room were very comfortable for a group of ten watching TV. Perhaps a bit more cleaning would help, but keep in mind it’s a large, comfortable country house.

“Voortreffelijk”

Great spot, nicely situated on a hill overlooking a valley, big pool, no mosquitoes or other insects at night, the house stays cool even without air‑conditioning, very friendly host who responds immediately to questions. The Wi‑Fi isn’t available everywhere and an extra fridge would be handy.
