If I could give it a zero, I would. The walls were covered in bodily fluids, the staff and manager were extremely unhelpful, and a cockroach was seen crawling on the bathroom floor—this place feels like a knock‑off. I tried to get a refund, even mentioning my pregnancy, but was told no; when I referenced trading standards, they tried to reverse the refund. Avoid at all costs.

The location is good, and there is nothing to complain about.

We stayed in a spacious room with comfy beds and hot water, and the spot was spot‑on for what we needed. A microwave was handy, and Tesco is just a 10‑minute drive away. The smart TV is cool, but you have to log into your own streaming accounts. The room feels a bit worn. We booked the family room with a kitchen; while the oven, cooker and microwave work, there’s almost no cookware—only one cereal bowl, so breakfast had to be shared in turns. No local shops are within walking distance, so you’ll need your own transport. Fine for a night or two.

Parking was fine and the room was clean, but it had a strong old‑home smell when we arrived. The double bed was actually two single beds pushed together, not the same size, with a mattress topper added to even it out. The sink was left with scummy water, so we had to pry the plug open by hand.
