The staff were fantastic, helpful, and friendly. The rooms were clean with fresh linen. Breakfast in the lobby offered many choices and was freshly cooked to your liking, with a perfect espresso.

We totally missed that breakfast was part of our rate, but we still got to see it and it looked amazing. We felt bad for not noticing earlier, though the staff brought it to us right when we were in the lobby—laughable. They spoke English if needed. We stayed in a demi‑suite; the bathtub and shower had great pressure. The room was spacious and spotless, and the elevator was convenient. The staff arranged an early check‑in when we arrived in the morning. Nothing else to complain about at the property. The on‑site restaurant was outstanding—best tiramisu and saltimbocca ever. The basement grotto under the restaurant is worth exploring. If you plan to explore Rome, this could be a minor drawback if not planned. We tried to get to Lake Albano (6 km) by cab, but traffic in Rome made the driver wait over an hour for us to be picked up, so we stayed in Grottaferrata instead. Grottaferrata is beautiful and the hotel sits perfectly in town; walking is even better. If you want to use a cab, book a car service beforehand. Otherwise it’s a perfect, safe spot for a quiet, authentic Roman experience. We’ll book again for sure.
