The Guesthouse of Alcobaça is situated in the town center, approximately 300 meters from the Monastery of Alcobaça and 9 kilometers from Nazare Beach. The area offers numerous restaurants and coffee shops. The guesthouse features private rooms with bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, and amenities like television, heating, and some rooms with hydro massage showers and air conditioning.

The service was super attentive and five-star, with jokes sprinkled in. We were helped by a gentleman who wasn’t the usual staff. Free snooker table and plenty of board games for entertainment. The shower was a problem: the water came out only lukewarm.

Nothing noteworthy. The beds were not comfortable, the breakfast was very poor with hard bread and croissants, and the staff spoke English in front of Portuguese guests. Overall it was very bad.

I found the hostel to be a treat. Clean, organized, and very comfortable.

The joy, generosity, and helpfulness of the gentleman who escorted us. Free billiards and jacuzzi, clean and comfortable. A true oasis for pilgrims.
