“Not so pleasant apart from the views, food markets the rest is nothing to write home about.”
We were staying near a park and liked using it in the evenings. Across the road from the hotel there were fruit and vegetable markets, giving us fresh produce and a taste of everyday Hong Kong life. The hotel is next to a mall with local cuisine restaurants, KFC, McDonald’s, and pastry shops, so sweet‑tooth guests have plenty to try, and the metro is also in the mall that connects to the hotel. We were first assigned a room on the 41st floor that smelled damp, so we complained and were moved to the 80th floor, where the larger room had no dampness and better views. The front‑desk staff were not friendly at all, and the cleanliness was inconsistent; drawers and cabinets had dust and housekeeping never seemed thorough, leaving the room looking the same except for the beds. The hotel didn’t do much to make us feel comfortable; I had to rely on the HK Tourism Board for help.
