The staff were very attentive, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped. They warned us that noises from the kitchen extractor would be audible all evening because our room was above the kitchen area. Breakfast could have been more substantial and started earlier than 8:30, leaving only a one‑hour window to eat.
“OK but could have been better”
Room was OK with everything we needed and was quiet for sleeping but bed wasn't very comfortable. Good shower and bathroom. We booked in advance for a meal on Sunday at 7.30 but were phoned the week before and told the kitchen would now be closing at 7 and could we change it to 6.30 which we thought was a bit too early but had to agree to, Breakfast on the first day was OK - cereals, fruit, hot and cold drinks and eggs on toast. However, on the second day the layout of the breakfast room had changed with no dining tables and just settees and coffee tables or high-level tables both options very uncomfortable for eating. Also we ordered bacon rolls and were served bacon on sweet brioche rolls not very nice

The location was great, and we needed the car to get around, though we didn’t try the breakfast. There were plenty of places to visit within a short drive. Unfortunately, the weather was very hot, so they kept the cellar fan on all night to keep it cool, and I didn’t get much sleep. I only stayed two nights.
