Sunshine Boutique Hotel by Estia

I’ve stayed there several times. It’s located in a quiet part of Malia. The staff are very friendly. The continental and Cretan breakfast buffet is nice. Nothing to add.

“Sehr enttäuschend”

We cannot understand the 8.9 rating at all. Our stay at Sunshine Boutique was a complete disappointment, especially for the price we paid. The rooms are extremely small and, upon closer inspection, far from clean. The shower and fixtures were heavily limescale‑covered, dirty and partially mouldy. Even after room service, the mess remained – for example, foreign contact lenses were found under the bed. The supposedly fresh towels had stains. Cleaning was clearly superficial. Breakfast was a nightmare: the same thing every day, little choice, no rolls, just toast. The Nutella and jam containers looked filthy, and the spoons still had old food remnants. The fly nets over the breakfast were gross, sometimes even touching the food. The noise level was extreme. From 8 am the pool bar plays loud music on a big JBL speaker until the evening. It’s almost impossible to sleep or be quiet. For the price we expected much more. The value for money was absolutely not there, and we would not book this hotel again.

In one word, amazing! What a super hotel. Great breakfast, nice pool, comfortable beds, good service. Nothing! The only small drawback is that the shower has no curtain, so water runs onto the floor.

“Fab little hotel!”

A fantastic little hotel tucked away in Malia. Quiet enough to escape the strip, yet within walking distance of everything! Absolutely nothing to note.
