There was a large sandy patch outside the tiny room where I lounged on a beach chair. I’d hurt my legs in the ocean, which wasn’t safe for swimming or walking, so I spent most of my time on my computer and phone. The room and beach were filthy, and there were no nearby restaurants. The sheets hadn’t been changed and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned. We weren’t warned about the dangerous ocean. The room was cramped and claustrophobic, and wild dogs were prowling and barking.

“Nice private accommodation right on the beach.”

Three of us had the entire house to ourselves, with two bedrooms. The garden was completely private, and the beach was just a few steps away with very few people. At night we slept in a hammock in the garden. The host was very kind and friendly, and his assistant—a very nice young man—was caring. They would order a taxi if you asked and arrange other trips. Restaurants and an Ayurveda center were about a kilometer away. Hot water was only available in one bathroom and only from the bottom tap, so there was no hot water in the shower. The bedrooms were a bit small, and some plugs didn’t work.

The place was right on the beach. My room was small and didn’t have direct beach access, and there was no proper dining area. I ate at a table in the front office. The food was takeout, and the staff didn’t know much about Kerala culture or language.

We had an amazing stay at this house directly opposite the beach! The location was perfect, with stunning views and easy shore access. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful getaway. The house itself was well‑maintained, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. If you want a serene beachside retreat with great service, this is the place to be. Highly recommended! 🌊✨
