“Eine wunderbare Überraschung – absolute Gastfreundschaft!”

Our stay at the Hotel zur Alten Quelle in Drolshagen was a real surprise. We had never been to this part of the Sauerland, so we didn’t know what to expect – that’s why it was so nice to be welcomed so warmly. We were personally escorted to our room upon arrival. The room was cozy, the bathroom was nicely renovated, and water and coffee were already provided for us. Even when booking a restaurant, we were helped very easily – a service you don’t find everywhere. The hotel’s location is also great. You can do a lot on foot, and the surroundings invite hiking and exploration. We also used the car for a trip to Biggesee, but we got good tips for hikes and car tours. What impressed us most was the personal and warm attitude. At breakfast, a lovingly set table awaited us with fresh rolls, juice, and coffee. We were even asked which eggs we preferred. In the evenings we could relax in the lounge playing games, drinks were in the fridge, and small snacks were set out for us. A little note – such attentiveness stays in memory. ❤️ You immediately notice that this hotel is run with a lot of heart and love, and guests are truly welcomed personally. We felt completely at home and enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you for the lovely time and warm hospitality – we’ll definitely come back!

Although the rooms aren't the biggest, everything needed is present. The rooms are tip‑top maintained and a rain shower is available. The highlight is the breakfast and the staff. For breakfast each room gets its own table with a large selection of cold cuts, rolls and drinks. The hostess is very attentive and tailors the breakfast selection perfectly. Eggs in all variations are freshly prepared on request.

A fridge is available in the hallway. The single room is a bit small, especially the bathroom; everything feels very cramped.
