Everything was as I expected. I was given a quieter room on site. The food at the restaurant was very good. A traditional, owner‑run house that is lovingly maintained.

The location is good. There was no one on the day of arrival, it was a staff free day. The stairs had a very unpleasant smell of damp mixed with the scent of empty wine bottles. The smell of damp and old carpet was very bad. The room was somewhat better, but the bathroom had little light and the towels were very old, some were frayed.

The breakfast was very good. It felt like a home. The floor covering in the bedroom was not great.

The bathroom was nice and spacious. Ok for a 1 night stop over in the centre of Hornberg. There was not a help yourself buffet. The food brought to the table was nice but we could have eaten more
