The owner grandfather was friendly and helpful, which I appreciated; the rooms were spacious, each with a single bed for three people, and the wooden floor made a bit of a creak, but slippers fixed that issue. I wanted to stay longer, but only had one day.

“房東爺爺非常友善，我們是接近晚間8點抵達，爺爺依然很有活力和我們介紹房內設施，房內空間也寬敞，採光很好，距離最近的超商走路約5分鐘可到，離開時爺爺還請我們喝樓下的咖啡，是非常專業的咖啡店，下次有機會還是會想再入住。”

All supplies were provided, the lighting was great, the convenience store was close, free parking was available, and arriving in an 8‑seat car that day was easy.

“森林に囲まれたログハウス”

The staff were extremely friendly and responded quickly to any requests. I stayed at the mountain annex, which takes about 12 minutes by car. There’s a sauna, and in summer you can grill on the outdoor balcony. You can watch the train cross the river on the opposite side. Surrounded by forest, the place feels tranquil. Even though I booked for December, the weather was warm enough that the nights and early mornings were chilly but still comfortable. I used the office parking lot and got to wander around Yufuin. However, the annex is still under renovation, so some parts might bother certain guests, and the road‑side location means the car noise can be a bit intrusive.

The host, an elderly gentleman, was very polite and helpful. The room had a small kitchen, a sofa area, and the space was very large with a comfortable bed. The bathroom felt quite cold without heating, and the floor‑to‑ceiling window beside the bed had no curtains, so privacy was not protected.
