Breakfast was generally good, but the holiday property I booked for that weekend was closed for a private wedding, so none of the leisure options were available and even the restaurant was shut. I expected to be informed in advance that the property would close for a wedding; we booked months earlier and never received any notice.

There were only a few animals—horses, guinea pigs, and a rabbit 🐰—so it felt a bit lonely. It was otherwise okay.

The surroundings were nice, there were headphones in the bedroom, good blackout blinds, a renovated kitchen with a spacious fridge, a nice oven, and new pans (no freezer), and the warm shower was pleasant in a quiet setting. The prices for bedding, breakfast, and canoeing were high; we could kayak from the site but had to pay extra for transport, which we never used. A 2‑hour canoe trip for four people cost 95 euros. The staff were not very friendly, and on the hottest day we were suddenly charged for the pool, even though it had been included for hotel guests days earlier.
