“Live like a local in Carnareggio.”
Ca Rosetta is in the Carnareggio district in Venice which is one of the few districts in Venice where families live. - we were able to get the waterbus B from the airport to the stop called Fondamente Nove and then the walk was about 5 minutes. It's a great way to arrive into Venice. You need to know the street address for Ca Rosetta as the name is only on the door bell pad. There are stairs to climb as you come in the front door and we had another flight to climb to our room on the upper floor. If you are not travelling light in Italy, you need to be strong. It was quite basic accommodation but probably reflective of how the locals live in Venice. Our bags were light - 12kg so the stairs were not a big issue but the stairs would be a significant barrier if you were not physically able or had massive suitcases
