“TV and Aircon not working and rooms not cleaned properly. Great Reception staff and Kitchen staff”

All front‑of‑house staff at Reception were excellent, helping us with luggage storage before and after check‑in. The kitchen served a delicious warm breakfast and a superb buffet. Waitress Suzan was very friendly and attentive to all guests. The Manager never introduced himself; he just sat in a corner typing and was heard shouting about wages in the middle of the dining hall, with everyone listening and no confidentiality. Everything else was below average, so I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want a comfortable stay, especially for more than one night. 1. Rooms weren’t cleaned properly; floors and side mats stayed dirty. 2. Fresh bathroom towels weren’t replaced. 3. Handwash wasn’t checked or refilled, so we ran out on the last night even though cleaning had come that day. 4. The air‑con didn’t work. 5. We weren’t told beforehand that only Executive rooms had a view; standard rooms only had street views. 6. We reported a TV that didn’t work from check‑in until check‑out, and even the night‑shift staff couldn’t fix it; we remained without TV. We were not offered another room.

I stayed two nights in the biggest room I’ve ever had while staying in the CBD. I liked the aesthetics and layout. The receptionist was lovely and made me feel at home. Breakfast was fantastic with many options, and the waiters and kitchen staff were amazing. Parking is limited and costs R250 per day. I deducted points for cleanliness because the bathroom wasn’t clean, which grossed me out. The outside of the bowl had dried urine stains that could have come from multiple visits; my OCD noticed it. Also, my room wasn’t cleaned on the first morning.

“It was good enough.”

The staff were very helpful, and the room was comfortable and clean. However, the elevator requires climbing a flight of stairs, which isn’t ideal for bad knees. The restaurant only opens for breakfast and isn’t great; as a vegan, we tried twice and the menu lacked the items we wanted. The area around the hotel isn’t great, and we were warned several times about safety.

“Super Location fuer Kurzaufenthalt in Capetown”

The location is very central, within walking distance of sightseeing spots and the HopOnHopOff bus. The place is clean, modern, and the staff is very friendly. A garage parking spot is available upon request. The only downside is that the stairs to the elevator with a suitcase are somewhat burdensome.
