Dorint Thermenhotel Freiburg

The value for money was good, the staff were friendly and professional, the décor created a pleasant atmosphere and the natural setting was beautiful while still being close to Freiburg city – the location was superb. The dinner selection was lacking, and the staff’s positive energy, humor, smiles, and warmth were missing.

“Relaxing spa hotel in the black forest”

Very nice hotel in the Black Forest. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast offered many great options, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Access to the spa worked well, and the gym was basic but a nice addition. The beds were a little hard, and the pillows could have been better – we had to request different ones. The room we booked was a bit small and there was no way to adjust the heat, so we had to ask for a fan. The towels were very thin and small; I would have expected a bit more for a hotel of this quality.

“Wir kommen gern wieder!”

The outdoor area was very nicely designed, the transition to the thermal spa was smooth, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was great. It was a bit outdated.

“Siehe oben”

The first reception was inappropriate; we had only hot water in room 117 and we moved. The other staff were helpful and good. A shuttle service to Freiburg was described but was not available. The active help with the therapy of my cold was good and very helpful – Prof. Dr. KG Dorst.

“Hotel facilities are okay but I expected more.”

Calm surroundings and close to thermal bath. Staff was professional. Interior outdated and rooms small, with the breakfast not being included, it felt overpriced for what you get
