The chalet was a nice self‑contained unit with good shower pressure and hot water. It was manageable for two people, but a bit tight for two people plus a baby and their bags. Breakfast was okay, offering limited vegetarian options like bread and tofu; the fried eggs probably weren’t from cage‑free or free‑range hens. The location was close by car to the entrance of Taipingshan Forest Recreation Area and its hot springs, and near Songluo Village, which has a nice pizza restaurant. Car parking was next to the chalet. The staff helped us access the microwave in the main kitchen so we could sterilise our baby bottles, and we also got access to a washing machine for the baby’s clothes, though the instructions were a bit unclear. The futon/sofa bed was very spongy and uncomfortable to sit on, and it had water stains in places. The bathroom needed better ventilation; it got damp when the shower was used and didn’t dry during the day, even with the windows open, especially since it was a rainy day. After check‑in, the staff were a bit hard to find. Once we located them, they were helpful, but communication was difficult until we realized they weren’t all native speakers of Chinese (or English). We adjusted our translation software to Chinese, Vietnamese, and Bahasa. There was a slight issue with payment: they say they accept credit cards, but the sign at the check‑in desk says cash‑only, which drained our remaining cash before heading into the mountains where ATMs are scarce. The owner resolved this without any problem once we found him. It rained during our stay, but that wasn’t the property’s fault.

The double bed was wide enough for two people side‑by‑side, and there were electric charging ports, including a USB‑A port near the bed. The chalet was the last one in the row, so getting to the car was easier and it was farther from other guests, which helped keep our babies’ nighttime crying away from them. The staff even offered us a baby bath tub during our stay. The duvet wasn’t quite as wide as the mattress; it would work for two people sleeping close but could use a bit more width for two people plus a baby. The room description for Comfort Chalet listed a dishwasher, kitchenware, and washing machine, but none of those were in the chalet. There is a washing machine in the main building, though it’s not easily accessible without staff help. I didn’t see a dishwasher or kitchenware, so that info seems wrong.

In room 302, of the three windows, two had mesh screens with holes that let insects in, so we had to keep them closed. The observation platform’s original table was removed, leaving only two table legs that look ugly, occupy space, and are unsafe.

環境還蠻清幽的. 如果能有泰雅特色餐就更好了
