The hotel was not the one shown in the photo and it was closed. I sent a message and got a reply saying the hotel was closed and to contact Booking for another arrangement. When I called Booking, the reservation didn’t show up, I talked to an AI, and I couldn’t speak to a person—just deal with it, which was disappointing.
Do not book! The place didn’t exist, no one was there, and the phone number didn’t work.
“Pessima esperienza”
We arrived in front of the hotel and tried to enter, only to find it closed. We called the manager several times, and after many attempts they said there were malfunctions and they couldn’t host us. Unfortunately they didn’t warn us beforehand and we discovered it only when we got there.
“Un incubo orribile. Ho dovuto trovare un altro alloggio per poter passare la notte a Desenzano.”
The Atico hotel turned out to be a scam. When I arrived, I found it abandoned. I had no communication, but thanks to people in Desenzano I managed to find emergency accommodation for the night. Booking should verify the hotels it lists more thoroughly. Other tourists, even foreigners, had the same experience. The phone numbers were nonexistent or unanswered.
