The room matched the photos and was clean. It had everything needed: a small fridge, microwave, kettle, clothes dryer, plus nice extras – tea, sugar, honey, towels, shower supplies (shampoo and gel), and on the table a complimentary snack of nuts and salted biscuits. Breakfast was included and delivered as a voucher to a café on the corner (the host gave the address at check‑in). They served cappuccino, water, mini pizza, and you could pick a croissant or other pastry. Unfortunately, the terrible check‑in service erased all those positives. The check‑in organization was a complete disaster and a huge stress for a lone woman! The building had no signs, just a closed entrance. I arrived at 11:15, immediately sent a message to Booking’s chat saying I was there but couldn’t find the entrance. My message was ignored. At 11:20 I tried calling myself but no one answered. Only after I called back at 11:30 did someone finally reply and say there was no one on site and I had to wait 30 minutes. I left to wait at a café. I returned to the entrance exactly at the official check‑in time – 12:00. No one greeted me, and after almost 10 minutes of waiting behind the closed door, at 12:10 I was forced to message the hosts again. At 12:15 they briefly replied in the chat that the entrance door had been opened remotely. Then a strange quest began: nobody answered my chat messages asking “Which floor?” The host started calling my phone but kept dropping the calls after about 15 seconds. I didn’t really understand what was happening. Through poor English he managed to mutter “Second floor” and then cut the line again. In the end I had to wander blindly through a stranger’s entrance and randomly look for a door, finally entering the apartment just because it was slightly ajar. The staff’s English was very poor. Inside I was greeted by a huge unknown man, which, combined with a strong, heavy, unpleasant odor in the corridor, made me very wary for personal safety. In the bathroom the water drained poorly, making it disgusting to shower normally; I had to just rinse. The service and attitude towards guests completely ruined the trip. For that price such service is unacceptable.
