Nirvaan Safari Lodge sits in a stunning setting, with tiny cabins tucked among nature and right in front of the rice fields, offering a peaceful and very charming atmosphere. It’s ideally placed for a trip to Wilpattu National Park, just about a 5‑minute drive to the entrance, making the safari very convenient. The rooms were simple yet pleasant, with comfy beds, and everything worked fine during our stay. We especially want to mention the staff, who were extremely kind, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived.

The restaurant overlooks beautiful rice fields, and sleeping in a tent is fun, but the guided safari cost through the hotel is pricey; it’s better to go to the park entrance and rent a jeep with only a driver.

What a view! The reception was friendly, the stay was beautiful and the staff were pleasant, but the food was almost always cold and the beds feel a bit narrow.
