The location is good, but early check‑out was impossible. The hotel has two different desks on separate levels for check‑out. The main desk on Level 3 is open from 9 am to 9 pm. The smaller desk on Level 3A is supposed to be open from 9 pm to 9 am, but it wasn’t. I needed to check out at 8 am but the desk was unmanned and the door to the main desk was locked. I waited a long time and finally had to leave and come back later in the day to return the key and get my deposit back. There should be somebody on duty 24/7 for check‑out. I won’t stay there again.

Our group had a fantastic stay at The Corner Club Hotel Penang and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting George Town. One of the biggest highlights is its excellent location. It’s conveniently situated close to many of Penang’s famous attractions, cafés, restaurants, and shopping areas, making it easy to explore the city while still enjoying a peaceful and comfortable place to return to after a day out. We were especially impressed by the size of our rooms. They were exceptionally spacious, bright, and very comfortable, with plenty of room to relax and unpack without ever feeling cramped. It’s not often you find hotel rooms this generously sized, and it really made our stay much more enjoyable. The bathrooms deserve a special mention too. They were wonderfully large, spotlessly clean, and featured a lovely, spacious shower with excellent water pressure. It felt more like a luxury hotel bathroom than what we had expected, and it added a touch of indulgence to our stay. Another huge advantage is the ample basement parking provided for guests. Having secure, convenient parking is a real bonus, especially in George Town where parking can often be difficult to find. It gave us great peace of mind throughout our stay. Most importantly, we were impressed by the professionalism of the hotel staff. Everyone we met was courteous, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Their friendly service and attention to detail made us feel well looked after from check‑in to check‑out. Overall, The Corner Club Hotel offers outstanding value with its spacious and comfortable accommodation, modern facilities, excellent location, secure parking, and exceptional hospitality. It exceeded our expectations in every way, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Penang. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip such a pleasant and memorable one. We look forward to returning!

The rooms are spacious with a great view out the back, but the beds feel old and uneven. I couldn’t open the bathroom door to ventilate because it shuts automatically with a strong force.
