“Un hotel bonito pero ruidoso”
The hotel sits in the historic center, so you can walk safely during the day and see historic sites; the nearby restaurants are traditional, but you need patience because service is very slow. The Diligencias hotel is clean and the staff are generally friendly. However, the window in my room faced the Zócalo, and from 7 pm onward the music and foot traffic turned into an inferno. I had a conference at the Universidad Veracruzana at 9 am, and the nighttime noise didn't stop until 1 am. Several colleagues complained the same. The hotel should invest in noise‑proof windows, because all the other perks lost value under that noise.

The staff’s service overall was good, but I couldn’t use the pool.
“Nice hotel, nice location.”
Location is great, lots of restaurants and bars near, attractions and so on. Cleanliness in the room was poor, always dusty and seems like no one was cleaning, just doing the bed and replacing towels. The toilet seat was broken, took two days for them to properly fix it

The location and the spacious rooms were great, but the place needs a lot of renovation. The bathroom was subpar for a hotel of that class, and the music played until 2 am on the terrace of the plaza—organized by the hotel—was a serious sleep problem.
