“You get what you pay for.”
Room 221 had a strong pet‑urine smell in the bathroom, and the bathtub was filthy—we had to clean it ourselves. The microwave glass door was broken, so it didn’t heat food even after 2 minutes. The toilet wouldn’t flush and made squeaking noises; we notified front desk, but no one came to fix it. For five days there was no room service, so we finally had to call for clean towels and sheets. The flat‑screen TV’s volume would cut out, and the only channels available were limited. The mattress was too flimsy, which wasn’t good for my bad back. We ended up leaving the hotel earlier than planned, heading 5 minutes up the road to a place that was 100 % better.
