I stayed in a centrally located suite that was upgraded for free, featuring a modern bathroom and air conditioning inside a historic building that has been repurposed well, but the elevator door jammed, so I avoided it and took the stairs instead, which were manageable.

The location is exceptional. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was a little bit small. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Highly recommend.

“Unpleasant experience”

The place is in a good spot, but everything else was disappointing; it felt more like an Airbnb than a four‑star hotel, and I had to send WhatsApp messages for anything because the front desk was usually empty, a stark contrast to the butler service I’d seen elsewhere. Finding the entrance was hard, the front door was tough to open, there was no elevator, the noise from the room above was extremely disturbing, breakfast wasn’t offered, the room wasn’t cleaned properly (I even found hairs on the pillow), and no staff were available after 10 p.m. The owner even subtly suggested meeting privately, which was genuinely frightening for a woman traveling alone. Overall, the experience was far from worth the price, and I regret booking it, constantly wishing I were back at the hotel near Rialto where I’d stayed just before.
