“Extra kosten bij inclusief ontbijt”
The room was spacious and there was parking, but it was disappointing that the coffee and chocolate milk were only offered at checkout when you pay a premium for a room with breakfast.

The location was wonderful!

The location is gorgeous, right in the middle of a countryside estate surrounded by greenery. The room is spacious, high, and bright, featuring a lovely antique wooden frame. The property and its surroundings definitely have potential. Unfortunately, the value for money was disappointing; at €190 per night we expected more attention to comfort, atmosphere, and hospitality. The arrival information was in English and said the key would be in the bird box. When we got there, there was no key. When we asked, we were told the key was not there because it wasn’t yet 17.00, which was never mentioned anywhere. The response felt more like a snort than hospitality. The room is large and light, but the decor seemed old-fashioned and unfriendly. The bed was only 160 cm wide (quite narrow for such a big room), had a single duvet, and had noticeable indentations. There was no outlet next to the bed. The duvet cover looked dated, and the bathroom was very basic, lacking a rain shower. The motion sensor turns on the lights immediately at night. The fake flowers and plastic flyers add to the dated vibe. We expected more care and attention to detail. The term “restaurant” was misleading; from 17.00 the restaurant closes and no staff are present. You enter through a back door that opens without a key or check, which feels unsafe. Breakfast was underwhelming. It only starts at 10.00 and was served at 10.15. It’s listed for €25 per person but wasn’t worth it: pre‑packed jam, a few slices of cheese, ham and salmon, tuna salad, and baked bread. No fresh fruit, croissant, or bacon. A fried egg was served without asking how we wanted it. We missed presentation and quality. What struck us most was the lack of personal hospitality. The owner showed little interest in our stay, didn’t ask if we slept well or if everything was to our liking, and the same lack of interest was seen at check‑out.

The four‑person room was truly beautiful, and the stay was lovely right in the middle of the forest. The only downside was that after 5 pm there was nothing left to eat or drink, and breakfast didn’t start until 10 am, which was quite late.
