The staff are very welcoming, smiling, and ready to meet every need. The room was clean, but the common areas were not well maintained and full of flies. The place needs more care.
The bed is large enough, the air conditioner works, and the shower is fine. The Ekas beach break is just a few minutes away by scooter. There are enough coat hooks and sockets. The food at the restaurant is tasty and surprisingly professional. The staff are always extremely relaxed and helpful, and there’s always something happening. The neighboring KonKong also serves good coffee and food. There is a kind of room service only on request, and the floor gets dirty quickly. The hut’s construction lets insects in easily, and the air conditioner has to run almost continuously to cope with the heat. This is not meant as criticism, but one must be aware of what the remote location at Ekas entails.

The location is close to a nice beach, and the on‑site services include scooter rentals and transport. The host is pleasant in conversations. However, the accommodation wasn’t ready when we arrived, and there was no special attention during the waiting period. Cleanliness was lacking, raising doubts about the laundry’s hygiene, and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell with weak water flow. The staff seemed to prioritize café guests over bungalow guests, as breakfast service was slow; on the last day we waited over an hour for four banana pancakes, the last of which were served without banana. The rooms were not suitable for families seeking basic comfort and cleanliness.

“Surfers accommodation”
De algehele sfeer, veel surfers die in dit verblijf slapen, vlakbij de kust, uitermate geschikt voor deze watersport. Het restaurant /bar is uitermate sfeervol ingericht, je voelt de surfers vibe. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, de beste koffie (Cappuccino) die we sinds 1.5 week hier in Indonesië gedronken hebben. Op zich leuke huisjes, maar verwacht niet veel van een goede afwerking, gewoon simpel en functioneel. Verwacht van de pink beaches geen roze strand, het ooit mooi roze kleurige koraal is de de opwarming afgestorven. Geen dekbedovertrek en kussenslopen aanwezig, was niet heel fris aangezien het beddengoed niet wordt gewassen na iedere overnachting
