Oval Motel - Murray Bridge

“Very nice clean quiet unit suitable for our needs to visit the nearby Monarto Zoo.”

We stayed in a very nice, clean, quiet unit that fit our needs for visiting the nearby Monarto Zoo; the rice cooker was a pleasant surprise, letting us cook a nice meal in the well‑equipped kitchen, and the beds gave us a good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful at both arrival and departure, and having a laundry in the complex was an added bonus. I’d book this motel again for future visits.

“Comfortable clean and accommodating”

The place was clean and I liked that it had a Moro and a toaster, and it was great to have dishes and cutlery available. I can’t think of anything negative.

“The room was like other motels we have stayed but the poor hygiene led us to leave before sleeping.”

We arrived to find dead bugs in the container with crockery, a dirty and sticky carpet underfoot, stains on the decorative blue bed throw, pillows, tub fabric, and lounge chairs, and no mattress protector on the bed. Water stayed on the bathroom floor for six hours and didn’t dry, suggesting a leak from the toilet and an odor of urine. We left by 8 pm after finding another motel; the manager apologized about the crockery and admitted the carpet was dirty. We asked him to inspect the room and give us a refund, but after emailing our concerns we received no reply after five days, so it seems they don’t care.
