The accommodation was good and the owner was very kind. Everything was close by, so I recommend it.
“Nette Reiterpension mit kleinen Unzulänglichkeiten”
It’s a typical Hungarian pension with a riding stable, so you have to book and arrive with the right expectations. The room was spacious and fully equipped with a fridge, air‑conditioning, kettle, cutlery, and cups. Breakfast, as many have already mentioned, is homemade and offers everything you need; the selection is flawless. The only downside is that the stables are sometimes right next to the rooms, but it’s still quiet at night, thanks to the location. We could take riding lessons, but only the small children used them, so the horses were kept in the round pen. Friday had rides we booked, which were lovely and worth the money. Saturday and Sunday breakfasts were exceptional, with a wide array of delicacies prepared and served for each guest, whether a couple or a family. Whether that’s the standard or just because a friend or relative was there, we can’t say. On the downside, the lighting is uneven, with shadows. Cleanliness is “adequate,” which is almost too good. The rooms were just okay, but finding a clean cup for coffee or a glass for juice was luck. There is no room service. Over six days, towels were never changed and trash bins never emptied. Because of the horse farm, there were many flies that died in the rooms, and it was unpleasant to bring dirt into the room. We had to ask for toilet paper, and probably for towels too. Since it’s a pension, not a hotel, there was no reception to turn to. The breakfast is great, but when something runs out, it stays gone; replenishment isn’t automatic (perhaps on request, which we didn’t know). Other guests’ reviews say the place is clean, probably because most stay only one or two nights.
Kind owner, friendly horses—highly recommend to everyone.
The room was beautiful, and despite the language barrier—since we are Slovaks and I don’t speak English—every request was met with willingness, often with extra services to keep us satisfied. Thank you.
The environment is quiet, close to animals—very animal‑friendly. Because the stables are nearby, the stables’ smell can appear in hot weather. It didn’t bother us, but if you’re sensitive, keep that in mind.
