The place is well situated and the price was fair for Paris, though the rooms are tiny but still tidy. The street gets pretty noisy at night.

The hotel sits within easy walking distance of everything I wanted to see, a metro stop is just around the corner and Montparnasse is a short stroll away; the Reception works all day and I could stash my bags before check‑in. The room is extremely small and the lift even smaller, but that’s what you expect from a retrofitted building.

The location was great, yet the initial check‑in was horribly unfriendly—zero out of ten. I had to leave the room key behind because I feared someone might steal our stuff. The checkout staff was kind, but I’m downgrading my rating to 5 out of 10 because we were never warned that we’d be charged for taking anything from the fridge, and the snack prices were outrageous.
