I liked having a smoky room so I didn’t have to go outside, but the smoking room had no ashtray.

The price was decent for a bed, shower and toilet for 2 days, and the a/c and heater worked, which was a relief when a cold front hit after we arrived in the heat. Inside, it wasn’t swept, there were dead bugs in the restroom, the towels were stained—luckily we brought our own—and the inside of the microwave was filthy, though we didn’t need it. The TV didn’t work the first day; I had to call the front desk the next day because the remote wasn’t working. He brought a remote that worked and let me download some channels. It was a one‑time visit, but if I ever return, I’ll splurge a little more elsewhere.

Unfortunately, my stay was marred by some major issues with the bedding and pillows. The sheets were dirty, and the pillows had a strong, unpleasant odor. It's a shame because the hotel has a lot of potential, but these kinds of problems can really detract from the guest experience.
