The area is nice, though a bit far from the metro; that distance actually helped my health.

It was the most awful experience. The positioning in Tokyo was bad, the owner doesn’t speak English, everything was a lie, and they gave us a single bed that was positioned over a table.

The place smells bad, is old, dirty, and messy, and I won’t stay inside it. I only looked at its facilities before booking because I wanted a place to sleep, drop off my stuff, and shower, but it failed to deliver any of those. When I arrived, they asked me to cancel through the app, but it was too late and I couldn’t find another hotel at that hour. They kept us outside for hours. The hotel is about 1.30 hours by public transport from the city center, the room door can lock but the window that faces outside doesn’t, the shower and toilet are so filthy they’re unusable, and all of that made the stay a disaster. I would not recommend it to anyone.

It wasn’t bad at all; I liked sleeping on a futon, but for an old house turned into a guesthouse, it’s very pricey. Everything feels homemade, which isn’t a bad thing in itself, but with a price like this, you’d expect more professionalism, and a breakfast would have been nice given the lack of stores nearby. Getting there is a pain: an hour on suburban trains and 20 minutes on foot, before arriving at a house with a missing address. At night, when you can’t communicate with the staff, it can make you pretty anxious.
