I stayed in a charming spot and the building, originally built in the late 1800s, had a romantic backstory that the lovely owner shared with us. The rooms were very pretty and spotless, complete with tea and coffee facilities. It was very peaceful—an actual escape. A short walk down a hillside trail led to the beach. The breakfast was great, highly recommend.

The place is far from what the pictures suggest; upon arrival we were shocked. The roof is in poor condition with grass growing in the gutters, and the pillars at the entrance are heavily weathered. A rotting carriage decorates the surrounding area. The restaurant is closed—only breakfast is available. There was no staff on site and the reception was shut. We cancelled our stay and the owner agreed. The hotel does not live up to the impression it gives; marketing it as a seaside hotel with those images is extremely misleading. It’s a perfect candidate for the “0 stars” series.

The décor and atmosphere were very charming with a perfect view, but everything outside needed a loving touch.

The hotel is tucked away and romantic, offering beautiful fjord views. There’s a quiet beach ideal for swimming and long walks, though there are many mosquitoes. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, giving us excellent local recommendations. The breakfast buffet is generous with many options. However, the seaside hotel looks worn out and the infrastructure feels run-down. Our room was very small, leaving no space for our suitcases. If it had rained, we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy our time comfortably in the room.
