The owners were friendly and welcoming, breakfast was good, plenty of info on local activities, and the surroundings were beautiful and quiet. It was a pity that dogs had to stay on the top floor, so every day you had to climb up and down four flights of stairs; also the rooms on the top floor under the slanted roof were always warmer, which was less pleasant for dogs. Smokers were not allowed inside the pension, but when it rained you could just stand at the front door under a small awning, which was not nice for non-smokers.

The location of the Ferienpension Gabriele was perfect and very quiet. Families with children could find great outdoor and indoor toys on the property, and across the street was a nice small playground. High chairs were available in the breakfast room for the littlest guests, and the breakfast itself was very plentiful and varied. The view was breathtaking and you could start beautiful hikes right on foot. After my hikes I looked forward to the bed; the mattress was very comfortable. The hosts were very warm, attentive to personal wishes, and gave excellent tips for day trips, all shown on the map. The pension was filled with countless maps and brochures. We had very interesting and exciting conversations, and the atmosphere was consistently authentic, open and warm. I felt very comfortable and would gladly return! Nothing was missing.

We spent a few lovely days in Gohrisch; the pension is set in a very idyllic, quiet spot that we really enjoyed. Our room was good, with a large, clean bathroom and everything else spotless. The hosts were very friendly and gave us plenty of useful tips, and the breakfast was also top quality.
