The historic building is gorgeous, surrounded by gardens, and the staff are friendly and go out of their way to keep you comfortable. The rooms are spacious, classic with a modern twist, and the on‑premise fine dining restaurant offers an upscale experience. We stayed here after a 20‑minute drive from Giethoorn before heading north to Bourtange (60 minutes) and Groningen. Overall, a great stay.

The front‑desk staff treated you differently than usual and were very attentive. The air‑conditioning in the room made a lot of noise.

The shower, bathroom, and the wide space in the room were good. Because of the old structure, the cleaning crew’s noise from the room above us was loud and disturbing at night and early in the morning.
