We got a free room upgrade, which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and the spot in Nungwi was great—perfect beach and sunset view.

The welcome was exceptional and the team very kind and attentive. A special thanks to the two Maasai brothers who ensured security, always available and ready to help, and to the young woman who prepared and served breakfast each morning. I also sincerely thank the owner for his kindness.

The staff were friendly when we arrived. We left the property because, although the location is close to the beach, it is tucked into a very ugly area that made us feel unsafe walking—windows were glass without bars, Wi‑Fi didn’t work, the kitchen was unusable and dirty, let alone utensils. It was a shame; this was the first time we’d leave a place for safety and well‑being. Walking down a corridor littered with rubble and half‑built houses was the route to the room, which scared us.
